Model PC-BP Longitudinal Cutting Machine for cutting at customizable distances
Description
The PC-BP model pre-cut machine is a versatile equipment designed to make longitudinal cuts of various lengths on moving material, and is to be inserted as a host unit in film processing lines such as slitters, extruders, printing or welding machines, and on all production lines that process moving film.
The PC-BP is a motorized machine with a synchronization system that ensures perfect and homogeneous cuts on a variety of materials and for numerous applications. The device is suitable for making breathable film for passing air under pressure or for easy opening on bags, pouches or tetrapaks. It can also be used to form nets for packaging fruits and vegetables.
Operation
The running film arrives at the unit and is pre-cut by the blade roller in contrast to the support roller supporting the material. The rollers are approached through the pneumatic system, and the blade penetration is adjusted by two micrometer screws. The pre-cut machine can be requested with the integration of a motor to perfectly match the speed of the host machine or line.
The circular blades are interchangeable, allowing the user to replace them at each change of processing. Depending on the type of blades chosen, longitudinal cuts can be made with a maximum cut length (2) of 15mm and a minimum distance (1) between cuts of 2mm.

Components
The Cutting Unit consists of the blade shaft (1 ) and the contrast roller (2) through which the material passes.
The blade shaft (1) consists of a steel roller on which easily interchangeable circular blades are mounted.
The counter roller (2) has a perfectly even surface to allow homogeneity of pre-cutting. This counter roller supports the material by providing support and ensuring an optimal result. The counter roller can be moved by a pneumatic system that allows it to be moved closer to or further away from the blade shaft, thus deciding whether to enable or disable pre-cutting.
The penetration adjustment system consists of two micrometer screws (5) that allow the user to manage the penetration of the blades into the material and set the length of the cuts to be made accordingly. Adjustment can take place either with the machine stopped or with the device in the process of working, ensuring versatility and maximum precision. As an additional guarantee for optimal control of the tension of the film to be processed, a transfer unit consisting of two steel idler rollers (4) is provided.
ThePC-BP can be ordered with a motorized blade shaft. In this version, the movement of the blade roller is controlled by an asynchronous motor with driver and encoder (3). The motor has a "tracking" function that allows the blade shaft to synchronize rotation with the speed of the film and the speed of the host line, thus avoiding stretching of the material and optimizing the accuracy of the cuts.
Operation of the PC-BP is entrusted to our software ready for 4.0. From the electrical control panel, the operator, via touch screen, manages all operations inherent to the device such as movement speed, alarms, etc. The operator interface is designed to be easy to understand and practical and quick to use, facilitating all phases of work.
