Model PU 42 MACRO PERFORATING unit for holes from Ø Min. 1mm to Ø Max. 100mm
Description
This equipment is designed to make macro holes of various diameters and shapes on moving material, especially for neutral or printed film; it is ideal for agricultural applications and especially for mulching. The PU 42 is to be inserted as a host unit in film processing lines such as slitters, extruders, printing or welding machines.
The PU 42 model is a fast and stable unit, with an operating system prepared for 4.0 certification and processed in the language of the country where the machine will operate. Intuitive and user friendly, our electronic system allows power and position control for each individual punching tool, start and stop functions, control of the movement of the beam opening, and management of working recipes (insertion, storage and recall).
The maximum operating speed achieved by the unit is 200 mt/min, with a maximum frequency of 90 Hz, due to the possibility of mounting the perforators on both sides of the unit. Please note that this value is influenced by the composition of the material to be perforated and the distance between the holes, and that the best performance of the unit is achieved by installing the unit in the continuous motion phase of the host line.
Operation
Punching tools are composed of two parts:
a female body housing the die, located at the bottom and designed to accommodate the suction tube that facilitates the removal of processing waste
a male body housing the punch, placed on top and connected to the solenoid valve.
Incoming material passes into the space between the beams and is punched by perforators (mounted on both sides of the structure), through a pneumatically driven punch and die system.
The lower beam can be opened with the pneumatic lifting system through pistons; this system facilitates changing and aligning punching tools for machining changes and gives stability to the structure.
Dies and Punches
Holes of various diameters and shapes can be made with this system: circular holes with Ø 1mm to 100mm, euroslots, handle holes, valve holes or shaped holes, thanks to the interchangeable perforators provided upon customer specification.

Electronics
The QCSM1 electronics is our most complete and high-performance model to meet the most varied processing needs; to punch holes in linear mode, with alternating designs or with customized patterns, to work with a photocell and encoder for more complex perforation designs or to process the printed film with reading eyemarks. Our software designed for 4.0 integration can be managed from the machine or remotely via PC or tablet. It allows independent control of each individual punching tool, management of work recipes, start and stop functions, information alerts, alarms and diagnostics.
